Top-tier Zeeland wine with character. This Pinot Gris captures the essence of the Zeeland coastal climate: fresh, elegant, and with that typical saline minerality imparted by the shell-rich soil and sea breeze. Ripe pear and citrus dominate, while the chalky subsoil provides beautiful tension and a long, refreshing finish.
Perfect with oysters and lobster, but also delicious with creamy sauces and fatty fish. The Zeeland wind and unique terroir make this wine something special.

Estate information:
Kleine Schorre saw the light of day in 2001 and is a collaboration with the Luxembourg winery Cep d'Or. The village of Dreischor enjoys a high number of sun hours, and the soil is very chalky and consists of a thick layer of shells. Ideal for viticulture. The frequent wind keeps many pests, molds, etc., at bay; it rains little, and hail is rare. Kleine Schorre has planted the grape varieties Rivaner, Auxerrois, Pinot Blanc, Pinot Gris, Souvignier, Cabernet Blanc, and Gewürztraminer. Grape varieties that pair beautifully with the briny delights that Zeeland has to offer, such as mussels, lobster, oysters, shrimp, and flatfish.
