A beautiful Champagne with a lovely mousse, fresh, crisp, elegant, and pleasant, with a great balance between juicy fruit and pleasant acidity. A truly easy-drinking Champagne.

Elegant Champagne from the heart of the Aube

The Serge Mathieu Brut Tradition is a beautiful example of artisanal champagne from the Côte des Bar region. This family estate combines tradition with precision, producing a champagne that is both accessible and refined.

Grapes & Vinification

100% Pinot Noir from our own vineyards in the Aube, where the chalky soils lend finesse and minerality. This Blanc de Noirs has the power and structure characteristic of Pinot Noir, yet retains a beautiful freshness and elegance. After primary fermentation, the champagne is aged in the bottle for at least 24 months, creating complexity and a creamy texture.

Domain information
Serge Mathieu is a small Champagne house from the Aube region, about a hundred kilometers south of Reims. Isabelle Mathieu (the daughter) and Michel Jacob work together to produce these beautiful champagnes. Quality is paramount. Harvesting is done manually, allowing for a very strict selection process, and the grapes are then carefully pneumatically pressed. There is no cold settling; fermentation takes place under controlled temperatures.
