Classic Sancerre from the exceptional Kimmeridge soil
The Matthias et Emile Roblin Sancerre 'Enclos de Maimbray' is a wonderful example of what makes Sancerre so special. The Roblin brothers from Maimbray produce truly refined wines, thanks in part to their unique terroir. Their vines grow on a distinctive soil of limestone and fossilized seashells, known as Kimmeridge, which formed during the Jurassic period 145 million years ago.
Grapes & Vinification
The Sauvignon Blanc grapes are hand-harvested and carefully selected. The wine is fermented in stainless steel tanks to preserve its pure fruit expression and minerality. The result is a crystal-clear Sancerre with plenty of mineral notes, crisp acidity, and a long, refreshing finish that reflects the essence of the terroir.
