There are wines that can hold their own against the greats, but are available for a much lower price. This is another such gem, lauded by connoisseurs and raved about by Onno Kleyn in de Volkskrant.
The nose reveals distinct oak notes and ripe yellow fruit. The attack is lively with an attractive oiliness followed by ripe fruit notes (melon, pear, mango) and a fresh mineral and citrus note supported by an attractive dose of oak. The finish is balanced with lovely acidity that gives it a pleasant tension. A versatile food wine to enjoy.
