The Saint Saturnin cooperative was founded in 1950 by Messrs. Besombes and Calmel. They responded to the demand from local winegrowers to join forces and pool their resources. The cathedral, like the building that houses the cooperative, enabled the farmers to produce more cheaply and manage a joint sales channel. Luc Saint Roche is an excellent line of IGP wines from Mont Baudile, located on the foothills of Les Terrasses du Larzac in the Languedoc.
