Domain information:
Jean-Michel Sorbe took over the family business in 1973 and dedicated over 30 years to establishing the Quincy and Reuilly appellations in the wine world. It goes without saying that his reputation is immense in these wine regions, and his Reuilly and Quincy wines are known as the best of their kind.
Through a mutual friend, Sorbe connected with another well-known winemaking family in the Loire Valley, the Mellot family. A partnership followed in 1988, and when Sorbe's children showed no interest in following in his father's footsteps, he sold his estate to the Mellot family in 1999. Jean Michel Sorbe's wines are still produced under his own name. Jean Michel Sorbe's vineyards cover 11 hectares in Reuilly and 3 hectares in Quincy.
