The Clos Rebberg Pinot Gris from Domaine Sohler is an exceptional Alsatian wine from one of the most remarkable terroirs in the region. The name 'Clos Rebberg' literally means 'enclosed vineyard hill,' and the plot is situated on steep south-east facing slopes with a gradient of no less than 80% in Andlau. The subsoil consists of rare blue-grey slate from Villé, a rock type that gives the wine its characteristic crystalline minerality and typical flinty notes. After 11 months of aging in oak barrels, the wine develops a rich, complex structure with a perfect harmony between fruit, wood, and minerality.
