Domain information: Both from wine families, Catherine and Didier Champalou, driven by their desire for autonomy, embarked on their wine adventure in 1983 and founded Domaine Champalou. They began by planting half a hectare of Chenin Blanc, and then waited three years for the first mature harvest. And they were immediately successful, as the domaine was discovered by wine enthusiasts immediately after the first bottling. Since 2006, their eldest daughter, Céline, has also been involved in the estate, and the annual, sustainable production now stands at 120,000 bottles. Champalou wines are currently enjoyed in some 20 countries worldwide.
