In the Côtes de Thongue, about 30 kilometers west of Montpellier, in the village of Alignan, with a population of just 1,200, lies the cooperative "Les Vignerons d'Alignan." They have access to 850 hectares of vineyards where, in addition to local grape varieties, they also cultivate Pinot Noir, Merlot, Cabernet, and Sauvignon. Alignan's wines are characterized by their balance, freshness, and purity, making them a pleasant accompaniment to a meal or as an aperitif.
