Kleine Schorre was founded in 2001 as a collaboration with the Luxembourg wine company Cep d'Or. The village of Dreischor enjoys a high number of hours of sunshine and the soil is very calcareous, consisting of a thick layer of shells. Ideal for viticulture. The frequent wind also keeps many pests, mold, and other harmful substances at bay. Rainfall is minimal, and hail is rare. The grape varieties grown on Kleine Schorre include Rivaner, Auxerrois, Pinot Blanc, Pinot Gris, Souvignier, Cabernet Blanc, and Gewürztraminer. Grape varieties are found that complement the salty delights Zeeland has to offer, such as mussels, lobster, oysters, shrimp, and flatfish.
