The estate:
Carolin and Erik Riffel took over the business from Erik's parents in 2005 and, with tireless dedication, have firmly placed it on the wine map of Rheinhessen. The estate currently covers 13 hectares, and while it used to be a mixed farm, Carolin and Erik have focused entirely on viticulture. The estate is located near the Binger Rochusberg, a rocky strip rich in quartz that stretches from the Taunus mountains to the Hunsrück. Their wines are counted among the best in the region, and the freshness, the hint of flint, and elegance are particularly striking. Weingut Riffel has been working biodynamically since 2009 and is a member of ECOVIN.
