The domain:
Carolin and Erik Riffel took over the business from Erik's parents in 2005 and, with tireless dedication, have placed it prominently on the Rheinhessen wine list. The estate now encompasses 13 hectares, and while it was once a mixed farm, Carolin and Erik have dedicated themselves entirely to viticulture. The estate is located near the Binger Rochusberg, a rocky ridge rich in quartz that stretches from the Taunus Mountains to the Hunsrück. Their wines are among the best in the region, particularly notable for their freshness, hints of flint, and elegance. Weingut Riffel has been working biodynamically since 2009 and is a member of ECOVIN.
