Domain information:
The estate is located in Lancié, in the heart of the Beaujolais. In 1976, Gérard Gelin - son and grandson of winemakers - purchased the "Clos des Nugues," from which the estate derives its name. In 2000, his son Gilles joined to further develop the estate. In 2008, Gérard retired and Gilles' wife, Magali, joined the estate. In 2010, Gilles took over the family business completely.
In 2018, the estate obtained the HVE certificate (High Environmental Value), a recognition for sustainable and environmentally friendly viticulture. Since 1976, new vineyard plots surrounding the estate have been gradually acquired.
