Domain information:
Jean-Marc Burgaud started his estate in 1989 and is considered one of the absolute top producers of the region. The domain is located in Ville-Morgon, the heart of the Morgon cru, and now covers 19 hectares. Côte du Py is one of the best plots in Morgon. The vines for this specific cuvée are on average 65 to over 80 years old and have a southern exposure.
Soil: flint, bluestone, and schist, rich in iron oxide - this provides minerality and structure.
Vinification: traditional vinification with whole-bunch maceration and natural yeasts, aged in concrete or neutral barrels. The wines are unfiltered.
