Domain information:
The estate is located in Lancié, in the heart of the Beaujolais region. In 1976, Gérard Gelin—son and grandson of winemakers—purchased the "Clos des Nugues," from which the estate derives its name. In 2000, his son Gilles joined the business to further develop the estate. In 2008, Gérard retired, and Gilles' wife, Magali, joined the team. In 2010, Gilles took full ownership of the family business.
In 2018, the estate achieved HVE certification (Haute Valeur Environnementale), a recognition for sustainable and environmentally friendly viticulture. Since 1976, new vineyard plots around the estate have been gradually acquired.
