A beautifully matured wine that is already delicious to drink, with elegant and supple tannins and spicy notes of liquorice and chocolate.
The deep, intense aromas of this wine reflect both its appearance and mouthfeel, which is dominated by notes of plum, cherry and blackberry.

The wine owes its mineral undertones to the chalky limestone soils. Aged for 12 months in 30% new oak barrels, the tannins are beautifully silky.

Domain information:

The estate operates according to the principles of sustainable development and respect for the environment (both in the vineyards and in the wine cellars).
The vineyards are situated on a hilltop where the Atlantic sea wind has free rein, hence the name (“Puy”) meaning summit, and “Servain” meaning windy, or where the wind comes.

Owned by Daniel Hecquet, one of the region's finest and most innovative winemakers, an experienced oenologist who honed his craft while working at Château d'Yquem and Château Figeac (two renowned Bordeaux estates). The Hecquet family has owned the estate for three generations.

The 47 hectares of vines are sustainably cultivated and located in Bergerac, Montravel, Pécharmant, Côte de Montravel, and Haut Montravel. Haut Montravel and Côtes de Montravel are known for their sweet wines, while Montravel AOC is known for its dry red and white wines. Located in France's Lamothe-Montravel sector in the western part of Bergerac, Montravel is geographically close to Bordeaux, but its wines are more similar to those of Bergerac.

Like much of southwestern France, Montravel's climate is primarily influenced by the Dordogne River. The river's gravelly banks are often the best locations for vineyards. Besides gravel, the soil here contains a high proportion of limestone.
