Domain information:
This château is located in a beautiful spot in the Perigord, with a magnificent view of the Dordogne valley, along the wine route between Monbazillac and Pomport. Véronique and Michel Monbouché purchased this château in 1989 as fourth-generation winemakers.
The 60-hectare vineyard is planted on clay-limestone and clay-loam soils where all the grape varieties of the Bergerac and Monbazillac appellations are brought together: Sauvignon, Sémillon, and Muscadelle for the white wines and Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon for the red wines. Quality wines are produced, representative of the terroirs of the Bergerac region.
Considerable investment has been made in the renovation of the buildings and cellars to improve working conditions, production, and wine storage. The vineyard has also been restructured to align with quality objectives.
