Estate information:
This château is situated in a beautiful location in the Périgord, with a magnificent view of the Dordogne valley, along the wine route between Monbazillac and Pomport. Véronique and Michel Monbouché purchased this château in 1989 as the fourth generation of winemakers.
The 60-hectare vineyard is planted on clay-limestone and clay-loam soils, where all the grape varieties of the Bergerac and Monbazillac appellations are brought together: Sauvignon, Sémillon, and Muscadelle for the white wines, and Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon for the red wines. Quality wines are produced that are representative of the Bergeracois terroirs.
Significant investments have been made in the renovation of the buildings and cellars to improve working conditions, production, and wine storage. The vineyard has also been restructured to align it with quality objectives.
