Domain information:
Château de la Tour de l'Ange is a 40-hectare wine estate in Davayé, in southern Burgundy. The red grapes are grown on granitic soils with schist and clay, under a continental climate that ensures optimal ripening. The estate primarily uses Chardonnay for whites and Gamay, with some Pinot Noir for reds. Since 2019, it has been HVE-3 certified thanks to its commitment to biodiversity, including hedgerow planting and beehives. The winemaker focuses on fresh, fruit-driven wines with a clear expression of the terroir.
The Beaujolais-Villages Nouveau from Château de la Tour de l'Ange is made from hand-harvested Gamay grapes. This young, early-bottled wine has the characteristically fresh character of Nouveau. Thanks to the care taken in the vineyard and cellar, it is a classic yet refined Nouveau style, with more depth than even the simplest primeur wines.
